About the role
The Development Chef will be responsible for driving our culinary vision at the country level through the principles of the Food Collective. This role focuses on creating a strong culinary culture, sharing trends, and inspiring food experiences that nourish our customers and stakeholders within the local market.

Reporting To Executive Chef, SEA Food Service Chains
Key responsibilities
Develop menu and product concepts for Kerry’s customers, ensuring alignment with local market needs and brand operations.
Create exciting concepts by understanding customers’ operational limitations.
Collaborate closely with R&D and Business Development teams to interpret market trends and design innovative food and beverage solutions that deliver growth.
Support customer-facing engagements by presenting winning concepts and guiding customers through the development journey.
Ensure concepts can be commercialized into scalable SKUs with the support of RD&A, plants, and supply networks.
Apply Kerry technologies and EUM applications to deliver creative, innovative, and technically sound solutions.
Implement Food Collective governance at the country level, ensuring consistency with regional standards.
Nurture Chefmanship and drive a strong food culture, while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Act as Kerry’s foodservice expert in your market and share trends and market insights internally and externally.
Develop strong, strategic relationships within the customers’ organization.
Conduct testing and improvements, work closely with Food Technologists.
Support Chef Partner in operations where necessary.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Hospitality, or a related discipline, with minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in food applications within the QSR, Food Service, or Food Service distribution industry.
Strong culinary foundation is mandatory, with the ability to translate chef-led creativity into scalable, commercially viable food solutions.
An outspoken, confident culinary professional who is comfortable presenting, influencing, and engaging with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, R&D).
Proven ability to lead product demonstrations, customer presentations, menu ideation sessions, and culinary workshops, effectively communicating concepts, flavors, and technical insights..
Language proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in additional local languages is an advantage. As this role is based in the Philippines, basic conversational understanding of the local language is highly desirable.
Willingness and flexibility to travel locally and internationally to support customer engagements, product trials, and business development activities.
High level of energy, adaptability, and ownership, with a passion for food, innovation, and continuous learning.
