• Demonstrate sound experience in applying quality and best practice principles to accurately estimate the time and effort required to deliver database administration services and solutions
• Demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge of market trends in the delivery of database administration services and solutions
• Demonstrate extensive experience in setting up, configuring, backing up, recovering, administering and managing SQL Server, Oracle & PostgreSQL environments
• Demonstrate solid experience using database administration, monitoring and management tools
• Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of operating platforms and protocols such as windows, linux & unix
• Cloud and on-premise Oracle, MS SQL & PostgreSQL database operations and management including refreshes, patching, configuration, upgrades, backups and migrations
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) / Azure Cloud Database Administration skills and
  
  

Experience

• Support Cloud Native Databases & PaaS Solutions including but not limited to:
• Amazon RDS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Azure Database (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres)
  
  

What will you do?

• Management of the FBAU test and production Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other database environments
• Ensure that the agreed SLAs and KPIs are met for database services
• Ensure that IS change management practices are adhered to with all deployments of production Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other database changes ensuring statutory and JSOX obligations are met
• Ensure that the production Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other database environments are kept secure with the latest security patch releases and latest versions are maintained in line with business requirements and IS

• Leverage industry best practice and emerging technologies to enhance the production Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other database environments as part of a quality continuous improvement process
• Ensure that the Oracle, SQL Server & PostgreSQL database environments are backed up and recovery tested regularly, capacity planned and performance tuned to run at optimal levels and highlight areas of opportunity to your team leader
• Analyse, review and recommend associated Oracle, SQL Server & PostgreSQL database administration tools and processes to support new implementations to your team leader
• Ensure that database process documents and technical documents are kept updated, and contribute to the creation of new documentation
• Coordinate database changes with key suppliers
• Provide after-hours on-call support for Oracle, SQL Server & PostgreSQL databases
