Data Quality Engineer AU Retail Hybrid

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00AM - 4:00PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

The Data Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data quality processes across our Snowflake data warehouse and DBT transformation workflows. This role is critical in establishing and enforcing data governance standards, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, and supporting our organizations data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Skills Required

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance, or data related quality assurance or testing roles.
• 2+ years or experience in data engineering or data quality engineering roles
• Strong SQL skills.
• Demonstrated Python proficiency.
• Expertise in data pipeline and orchestration tools, with demonstrated proficiency in Apache Airflow and DBT.
• Strong experience with Snowflake, with exposure to Oracle and Postgres.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Snowflake.
• Basic experience with AWS services
• Experience in working complex data projects with exposure to defining test strategy, testing standards

• Develop and implement data validation and testing processes to ensure data quality across the Snowflake data warehouse.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using DBT
• Define, monitor, and report on data quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Work with the Data Governance function to develop data quality standards and practices
• Enforcing Data Governance standards
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, standards, and guidelines
• Develop automated scripts and workflows to streamline data quality checks and reduce manual efforts.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, working closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data quality processes
