Data Engineer AU Education Hybrid

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:00AM - 3:00PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

In this role, you will be collaborating with the Data Science Team, an enterprise capability team and be responsible for driving transformation efforts towards the right outcomes for students, clients, and student placement network.

Skills Required

• Bachelors or masters in software engineering, computer science, or other relevant disciplines
• Proficiency in Python programming and SQL
• Hands-on experience working with AWS data and cloud services including Amazon Redshift, S3, AWS Lambda, Glue, and other relevant AWS technologies
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 4+ years working with SQL and 2+ years with Python
• Strong understanding of microservices-based systems and event driven architectures
• Experience with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/AWS CDK
• Ability to analyse requirements, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and design practical, effective solutions to business and technical problems.
  
  

• Experience working with large language models and AI Agents
• Ability to evaluate LLM outputs
• Prompt engineering skills
  
  

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines, microservices, and system integrations to support increasing data volumes and complexity.
• Partner with analytics, technology, and business stakeholders to design and enhance data models that support business intelligence, reporting, and enterprise decision making.
• Conduct data analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity, and reliability.
• Maintain and improve cloud-based data and analytics infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, security, and operational resilience.
• Build, deploy, and maintain customer-facing generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and related technologies.
