Data & Reporting Analyst – New Opportunity

A new opportunity has opened for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our Decision Science team. This team plays a critical role in providing analytical support to Baycorp’s internal teams and external clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with high‑volume data, has a strong eye for detail, and thrives in an analytical environment.

About The Role

As a Data & Reporting Analyst, you will support New Zealand, Australia, and Manila sites, handling client-related data processes such as debt loading, account setup, data washing, automated skip trace processing, and bureau default management.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and delivering a suite of regular and ad‑hoc reports used by Operations, Strategy, Sales, Finance, Management, and external clients. The primary tools used in this role are MS Excel and SAS Enterprise Guide.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, and load debt accounts into the collections system
• Upload payment files and other external data files
• Build and use MS Excel macros to format upload files
• Perform data washing to obtain contact leads from bureaus and process them in the collections system
• Upload default files and monitor successful bureau submissions
• Upload and process Centrix billing
• Create and maintain client accounts in the collections system
• Prepare data extracts from the SAS data mart for campaigns, exceptions, and audits
• Update and maintain programs and report templates in MS Excel and SAS
• Develop new reports and dashboards covering operational performance, campaign results, and client profitability
  
  

Role Prerequisites

• Advanced MS Excel skills (macros, Index/Match, data validation, advanced formulas)
• Tertiary qualification in Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Information Management, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Previous experience working in a data-focused role
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and naturally curious

• Hands-on experience in data wrangling and reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a mindset for process improvement
• Resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Working knowledge of SAS programming / SAS Enterprise Guide
• Exposure to SQL or BI tools (advantageous but not required)
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• A professional, customer‑focused approach
• High accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail
• An interest in auditing and investigative-type work
