Schedule: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM PH Time (M-F)
Salary: P80,000 - P100,000
About The Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Web Developer (Contractual) to support the complete redesign and rebuild of our corporate website on a self-hosted WordPress (.org) platform.
This role is ideal for a developer who is equally strong in front-end development and design execution, with experience building custom WordPress themes, implementing technical SEO, and delivering high-performance, conversion-focused websites.
You will work closely with our Data & Analytics Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, and the broader Asset Team to bring our new website to life according to our approved design system, wireframes, and technical requirements.
WordPress Development
Core Responsibilities / Scope of Work:
- Build a custom, lightweight, scalable WordPress theme (no page builders such as Elementor).
- Set up and configure a self-hosted WordPress environment, including staging and production environments.
- Implement custom post types, fields, and taxonomies to support dynamic content (products, services, case studies, resources).
- Develop multi-region architecture with a locale-based URL structure and user-facing region switcher.
- Ensure code follows best practices in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, accessibility, and performance.
Technical Integrations
- Integrate HubSpot with all form submission and lead capture functionality, ensuring proper data flow.
- Implement Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and event tracking in collaboration with the Data & Analytics Specialist.
- Support API-based integration with Microsoft 365/SharePoint for careers/job postings.
Design & User Experience
- Translate approved high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and design systems into responsive page templates.
- Create a desktop-first design system aligned with Mammoths Brand Manual (typography, color, iconography).
- Partner with the design lead to refine visual elements and ensure consistent, modern UX across all site components.
- Implement intuitive navigation, clear conversion pathways, and optimized user journeys.
Performance & SEO
- Implement technical SEO best practices including metadata, sitemap generation, structured data, clean code, and fast load times.
- Achieve required performance benchmarks, including improved Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Core Web Vitals.
- Ensure the site architecture is optimized for indexing, crawlability, and long-term SEO scalability.
- Develop the site using a minimal, performance-first plugin strategy, relying on custom coded functionality wherever possible to avoid heavy, bloated, or unnecessary third party plugins that compromise site speed or security.
Collaboration & Project Execution
- Attend weekly stand-ups with the Marketing Operations team.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on content migration and CMS structure.
- Coordinate with the Data & Analytics Specialist on tagging, tracking, and analytics validation.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on development feasibility and best practices.
- Participate in stakeholder testing during beta release.
- Provide documentation and training during handover to ensure the internal team can self-manage the platform.
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in WordPress development, including custom theme development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing responsive websites from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and similar tools.
- Familiarity with API integrations, particularly with Microsoft 365/SharePoint (preferred).
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, page speed optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with fixed deadlines.
- Comfortable reviewing designs, providing UX recommendations, and working from a design system.
Desirable
- Experience in B2B or industrial sectors.
- Experience building multi-region or multilingual WordPress environments.
- UI/UX design capabilities (Figma preferred).

- Comprehensive documentation and training for internal handover.
- Complete handoff of all WordPress source files, including the custom theme,
codebase, templates, configuration files, and any project-related assets, ensuring our client retains full ownership and control of the site.
- Support and assistance with deployment to the designated production environment, ensuring a clean, stable launch.
- Support during launch and post-launch QA period.
Communication & Workflow
- Collaborate through Asana for task tracking and status updates.
