The Reporting & Analytics Analyst will perform highly complex and multidimensional analysis of Global Services data relating to the service performance through vigorous data analysis and data visualization leveraging new tools and technology. The role frequently engages in scenario analysis, ad hoc business case work, administrative processing as well as providing analytical support to the Service Delivery partners. This includes development and administration of new reports. In order to succeed in the role, the Reporting and Analytics Analyst must have strong analytical/process skills, possess a great attention to detail, proactive approach, passion and curiosity to understand the “why” behind performance, ability to create and support a story based on quantitative findings.

Responsibilities Include

  • Generate recurring scorecard reports and analysis associated with GS’s service performance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and/or adhoc reports
  • Perform data and system analysis to support broader oversight processes within a functional area. In addition, this role provides reporting and insight to guide business decisions and initiatives, while maintaining a high level of data integrity
  • Provide insights based on findings and making recommendations based on strategic understanding of the data collected through analysis of business intelligence
  • Active contributor to a cross-functional team, collaborating with Reporting & Analytics Analyst in other regions to drive improvement in the overall analytical support
  • Assess current reporting capabilities and help drive strategic innovation and evolution for improvement on performance reporting
  • Drive consistency in the application of data as a management system through standardized reporting and analysis
  • Support requirements for new reports and dashboards, creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data and provide recommendations that address business objectives
  • Create, maintain, and interpret dashboards and reports, including trending and customer segments
  • Interpret and measure the impact of business actions, including process and system enhancements
  • Provide quantitative analysis and recommendations to Service Delivery partners/leadership on day-to-day business questions
  • Leverage the development of new data sources to provide new perspectives of performance and identify new opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Work with large data volumes and combine data from disparate sources into concise structures
  • Verify data capture, identify and resolve data quality issues discovered during insights and reporting process

Qualifications (required)

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or Accounting is required
  • A minimum 5 years of experience with finance or cost accounting or related business is required
  • Verify data capture, identify and resolve data quality issues discovered during insights and reporting process
  • The ability to partner & work independently with associates at all levels of the organization, including interacting with senior management
  • Expert level in Microsoft Business Suite (Excel, VBA, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience with analyzing, translating and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to navigate and excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive curiosity to understand the “Why” behind performance, decisions, etc.
  • Passion for data exploration, data analysis and strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of J&J Financial processes is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Alteryx and other ETL tools
