At adidas, Team Sports are at the heart of who we are. As Assistant Manager, Category Team Sports for Southeast Asia, you will support the category planning for Team Sports categories. This role helps translate SEA category direction into strong portfolio recommendations, category insights, and coordinated execution support that strengthen sports credibility, deepen fan connection, and drive consumer relevance across SEA markets.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Leadership
Support the translation of SEA Team Sports category direction into seasonal Basketball, Motorsports and Football category priorities, franchise focus, and commercial opportunities.
Assist in tracking category objectives, KPIs, and success metrics across markets and channels.
Support category pricing recommendations, portfolio tracking, and seasonal business reviews through data-led analysis.
Be a connector with the Brand Activation, Commercial and Go-to-Market teams.
Franchise and Range Management
Support franchise planning and lifecycle management across key Team Sports franchises, balancing sports credibility, commercial productivity, and long-term franchise equity.
Support category deliverables across Global and SEA GTM milestones, ensuring strong seasonal readiness and clear category recommendations.
Assist in shaping portfolio architecture through depth logic, franchise roles, and category focus.
Track and report category KPIs including category growth, range productivity, country overlaps, and Go-In-Margin performance.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Brand, GTM, MOPS, and Analytics, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Commercial Teams.
Support communication flows between Emerging Markets Category teams and SEA markets, ensuring clear visibility of category priorities and market feedback.
Enable Brand and GTM teams with franchise updates, product insights, and category recommendations.
Consumer & Market Insights
Monitor consumer trends, competitor movements, pricing dynamics, and marketplace developments across SEA.
Translate consumer, market, and competitive insights into actionable category recommendations and growth opportunities.
Support post-season reviews with clear business analysis and recommendations for future cycles.
People & Stakeholder Leadership
Build strong collaborative relationships across regional and global teams.
Demonstrate curiosity, ownership, and a growth mindset in daily work.
Role model adidas values, teamwork, and a consumer-first mindset.

Professional Experience
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience in merchandising, category, product, or commercial functions, ideally within sportswear or consumer brands.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear actions and recommendations.
Understanding of assortment planning, pricing logic, and category performance tracking.
Experience working within seasonal GTM milestones is a plus.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments.
Proficiency in Excel, merchandising tools, and analytics platforms.
