About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll gain exposure across end-to-end finance, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants hands-on experience, strong mentorship, and clear development pathways.

For the right candidate, the role includes study support towards CPA.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Assist with account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense claims
• Support month-end activities, including reporting preparation
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and basic FP&A analysis & reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Respond to internal & external finance queries and support stakeholders across the business
• Assist with audits and compliance requirements as needed
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

About You

You’re organised, detail-oriented, and keen to learn. You take pride in getting the fundamentals right and are comfortable seeking clarity and feedback to do your best work.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 1–3 years’ experience in an assistant accountant, finance officer, or similar role
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (completed or in progress) is preferred but not essential
• Working experience in a finance team if required
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work
• Confidence using Excel, Google Sheets and finance systems (experience with accounting software ie. Xero is a plus)
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from feedback
• Interest in progressing towards CPA or equivalent professional accreditation

• Candidates must be based within the metropolitan area of Manila with a strong reliable internet connection.
• Working hours are expected to be Australian Eastern Standard Time. (6am - 2.30pm PHT)
