Hi! Were Smartsourcing, and were looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing Cebu team. In this role, youll support our Senior Accountants in Cebu and Melbourne, delivering accurate tax returns and accounting services for both investment and business clients. Youll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff while keeping compliance obligations running smoothly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Importing accounting data from clients accounting software/ bank statements/ other source documents.
• Preparing quality workpapers based on companys workpapers requirements with complete and straight forward references.
• Preparing Income Tax returns for Individuals.
• Resolving manager and Director review notes.
• Preparation and lodgment of Activity statements (PAYG/BAS/IAS).
• Preparation of FBT returns.
• Preparing monthly payroll report with correct salary figures, tax withheld, super and leave accruals.
• Single Touch Payroll reporting and year end finalisation.
• Draft billing and WIP analysis.
• Any ad hoc tasks
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using web-based accounting packages such as Xero.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent time and task management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Able to work independently and productively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
