Prodigious is part of the connected Publicis Groupe network, providing production services across all channels, both agencies and directly to clients. We design and deliver bespoke content experiences for our clients, shooting in our purpose-built studios and working collaboratively with our client partners to create and produce high-caliber content for brands.
Overview
ROLE – The Producers are the guardians of the Work. They execute ideas within or across multiple platforms. This is a key position that is responsible for identifying, attracting, and managing the talent (in or out of house) necessary to ensure the best production value possible for the creative idea and the client.
You will have the opportunity to consult and collaborate with Senior Producers, Creative, Account Service, and Account Management on executional approach, style, and desired results of project.
You’ll become part of a ‘can do’ production team striving for great and successful outcomes for creative ideas.
PRODUCTION
End to end production management of integrated production (including but not limited to TVCs, content videos, photography, activations, adapts/radio etc)
- Manage the production of assigned projects through the agency – primarily TVC/content, but may include activations, photography, print, digital as required.
- Ownership of projects from production briefing / concept approval stage (or prior as needed)
- Financially manage your projects:
– Co-manage budgets (along with Account Management)
– Raise production estimates for internal and external costs
– Ensure estimates are approved and revised as needed
– Monitor costs for discrepancies or overages, and escalate when necessary
– Prepare purchase orders and ensure external invoices are authorised in a timely manner
– Reconcile jobs
– Ensuring internal revenue capabilities are maximised.
- Ensure internal approvals are received from the wider team as needed – on costs, specifications, etc.
- Schedule your projects, including:
– Prepare and maintain production timings
– Flag key milestones to the team
– Assist Account Management to prepare and manage timelines
- Oversee and manage all preproduction (i.e. castings, locations, music, etc.) and production / asset creation
- Attend and manage shoots, including liaison between stakeholders as needed (Client, Agency and Externals), as well as ensuring appropriate Duty of Care is maintained (e.g. OH&S, Children’s Guardian, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain job folders and server files, project summaries, rollovers & rollover calendars, talent contracts, music contracts etc.
- Ensure creative and account management approvals are obtained at every stage
- Co-manage brand guardianship (along with Account Management and Creative)
- Oversee delivery of material to media / clients as well as overseeing CAD approval & despatch of material as needed
- Commission external suppliers to produce work – prepare supplier briefs, receive and check quotations / timings from suppliers, and commission work upon approval
- Oversee Quality Assurance
- Assist in managing internal editor bookings / resource
- Offer support to Senior Producers / EP
- Any other tasks as assigned
INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE
Current knowledge of industry personnel, production houses, production techniques, industry trends and new directions in the industry might be heading, in order that you can offer the most relevant and accurate advise to the creative teams and the agency on any production issue. A producer must always be looking for better/alternate ways of accomplishing tasks and must be able to offer solutions to issues that constantly arise with scripts/ideas.
ORGANISE & TAKE CONTROL AUTHORITY
A Producer is the one person all departments rely on to take control of the situation at every turn. Creatives rely on your for your input/suggestions and your ability to organise their lives. Account teams rely on you for financial management and organisation and clients need to trust that you are offering the soundest possible production advice and have the knowledge and ability to cope with any hurdles that may arise along the way
AGENCY COLLABORATION
Working closely with Creative Traffic Manager. Working collaboratively with Creative and Account teams on projects and educating other departments on key elements of the production process and innovations. Inspiring the agency, creative and beyond, on the latest in film and sound techniques and creativity.
All while doing it with a smile on your face and I’ve got this attitude.
