Trane has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Service Project Administrator in our Markham, Ontario Service group.

As a Service Project Administrator, under limited supervision, you are responsible for service contracts set up and seeing them through to full completion with direct responsibility for contracts execution, to accomplish specific goals in a given time frame and with limited resources. This includes Service contract documentation, materials, job costing, and administrative closeout of each service contract. This position is required to closely interact with Service Managers, and other assigned service staff to ensure the timely completion of each service contract.

What you will do:  

  • Reviews and sets up assigned service contracts, and service parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system goals.
  • Establishes and measures internal service process and associated compliance.
  • Participate in internal service contract team meetings to ensure accurate transfer of information.
  • Validates cost to date and reconciles service contract data in business system.
  • Reconciliation of purchase order discrepancies to support the Service fulfillment process.
  • Reconciliation of purchasing card transactions.
  • Reviews billing backlog and coordinates/communicates with Service Managers, Resource Coordinators, HVAC Field Technicians, customers, and Trane claims as necessary to resolve obstacles.

What you will bring:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three (3) plus years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Participate in and contribute to lean improvements activities.
  • Must have strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team, and leading a meeting amongst your team.
  • Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, in addition to strong computer application and document management skills.
  • Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred; not required.
