Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Supervisor

Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

The Inventory Team Leader (Warehouse) is responsible for leading day-to-day inventory handling activities inside the warehouse, ensuring that all inventory movements are executed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with SOPs, GMP standards, ERP processes, and reporting requirements.

This is an execution-only role. The Inventory Team Leader does not approve stock adjustments, define inventory policy, or perform reconciliation. The role exists to ensure physical inventory accuracy on the floor, so inventory issues do not escalate upstream.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Handling & Floor Execution

  • Lead daily inventory-related activities including receiving checks, put-away, bin transfers, picking verification, and internal movements.
  • Enforce correct SKU, batch, expiry, and location handling.
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO rules are followed physically.
  • Prevent mixing of SKUs, batches, or locations.


ERP Transaction Execution (User-Level)

  • Ensure all inventory movements are properly executed and recorded in the ERP/WMS.
  • Supervise correct use of scanners, terminals, or inventory forms.
  • Ensure no undocumented or manual stock movements occur.
  • Escalate system issues or errors immediately.


Excel-Based Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain daily Excel trackers for:
  • Inventory movements
  • Cycle count execution
  • Variances identified on the floor
  • Damages, expiries, and quarantined stocks
  • Prepare simple daily and weekly inventory status reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports submitted to management.


Team Supervision & Discipline

  • Supervise Warehouse Inventory Staff during shifts.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and accuracy.
  • Coach staff on correct inventory handling and documentation.
  • Enforce discipline, attendance, safety, and housekeeping standards.


Support to Inventory Control

  • Execute cycle counts and physical inventories as scheduled.
  • Assist Inventory Control during audits and variance investigations.
  • Implement corrective actions as directed.
  • Provide factual execution data—no interpretation or approval.


GMP, Safety & Housekeeping

  • Enforce GMP requirements related to storage, segregation, labeling, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain audit-ready inventory areas.
  • Enforce PPE usage and safety protocols.


Coordination & Escalation

  • Coordinate closely with the Warehouse Manager or Logistics & Inventory Manager.
  • Escalate risks related to inventory integrity, space, manpower, or system issues early.


Qualification & Requirements

Education:

  • At least a high school graduate.
  • Vocational or technical training is an advantage.


Experience:

  • 2–3 years of warehouse experience, with 1+ year in an inventory-focused or lead role.
  • Hands-on experience handling SKUs, batches, and warehouse locations.
  • ERP/WMS experience required.
  • FMCG, cosmetics, or regulated industry experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Full-time, on-site warehouse role.
  • Physically active environment.
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods or inventory counts.
