Job Description
The Company
Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And were just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what weve started: Improving human health.
We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. Weve already changed millions of lives and were ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. Well get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though weve come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.
Meet The Team
Dexcom’s Global Business Service (GBS) Operations team is expanding and seeking a technically strong Process Engineer-focused Reliability Lead who can bridge engineering discipline with service and operational analytics. Operating within a data-driven technical support environment—not a manufacturing floor—you will help shape how Dexcom monitors reliability, stability, and performance across global operations. This role supports the company’s Design for Reliability – Zero Surprises in Operations (DFR-ZSO) by leveraging customer, product, and process data to identify systemic reliability issues, monitor performance stability, and drive continuous improvement.
Operating in a managerial-level individual contributor capacity, this position requires strong analytical acumen, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to influence improvement through data-driven insights rather than direct team supervision.
Where You Come In
You analyze customer support and field performance data to identify reliability trends, failure modes, and improvement opportunities.
You collaborate with other teams to develop and maintain dashboards and metrics that provide visibility into product reliability, process capability, and service performance.
You perform root cause and trend analyses in support of proactive reliability monitoring and risk mitigation.
You act as the subject matter expert within the DFR-ZSO framework, ensuring alignment between field insights and organizational reliability objectives.
You collaborate with cross-functional partners in Quality, R&D, Operations, and Continuous Improvement teams to enhance product and process monitoring.
You contribute to the continuous improvement of DFR-ZSO systems that support reliability governance, measurement, and alerting.
You lead investigations into recurring reliability or service performance issues, ensuring data-supported corrective and preventive actions.
You provide actionable recommendations to enhance product design, manufacturing, and customer experience.
You communicate findings and improvement plans through structured reporting to leadership and DFR-ZSO steering committees.
You partner with IT, Quality, and Operations teams to improve data capture accuracy, analytics automation, and system integration.
You ensure consistency and reliability of data sources used for monitoring performance and process capability metrics.
You translate complex reliability data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
You influence key stakeholders through evidence-based recommendations and reliability performance reporting.
What Makes You Successful
You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Industrial), Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
You have a minimum of 13 years of professional experience in reliability engineering, product quality, or technical support analytics, preferably within the medical device, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industry.
You have proven expertise in statistical analysis, data visualization, and root cause methodologies.
You have proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Lucid Chart/Spark).
You have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
You demonstrated success in driving cross-functional improvements using data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Get
A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community.
A full and comprehensive benefits program.
Growth opportunities on a global scale.
Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.
An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
