The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Unicapital’s digital and technology initiatives. This role will lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, while aligning with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with strategic priorities.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, milestones, and risk
assessments.
Establish project governance frameworks, reporting structures, and documentation
standards.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulatory requirements.
Execution & Delivery Management
Lead end-to-end project execution across digital, IT, and business initiatives.
Monitor project progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and bottlenecks proactively.
Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Facilitate regular status updates, steering committee meetings, and executive reporting.
Manage expectations and ensure clear communication of progress, risks, and decisions.
Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
Resource & Vendor Management
Manage internal and external resources to ensure optimal utilization.
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and third-party providers where applicable.
Oversee contract deliverables and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality
standards.
Support procurement and onboarding of project resources.
Agile Delivery & Process Improvement
Drive Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall, where applicable).
Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog management.
Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and frameworks.
Promote best practices in delivery management and team collaboration.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and risk logs.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as timeline adherence, budget, and quality metrics.
Provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure proper handover, closure documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Degree qualification or equivalent in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project management, preferably in financial services, fintech, or technology environments.
Proven track record of delivering complex digital or IT projects.
Project Management Expertise
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
Technical & Business Understanding
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system integration
concepts.
Familiarity with digital platforms, APIs, and data-driven systems is an advantage.
Understanding of financial systems, trading platforms, or regulated environments is
preferred.
Leadership & Communication
Strong leadership and team coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence and drive alignment across business and technical groups.
High level of accountability, ownership, and decision-making capability.
Soft Skills & Strategic Alignment
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
