Job Overview

The Product Commercialization Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end commercialization of new products, product improvements, and marketing initiatives from planning through market launch. This role works closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure products are launched efficiently, on time, and within agreed operational parameters.

The role oversees production readiness, material availability, launch execution, and post-launch support while driving continuous process improvements to enhance speed, visibility, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Commercialization & Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end commercialization activities for New Product Launches (NPL) and Business-As-Usual (BAU) initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution with Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers
  • Conduct supportability assessments and define production and operational requirements for launches
  • Develop and manage project timelines, launch milestones, risks, and escalation plans
  • Ensure readiness of raw materials, packaging materials, artwork approvals, and production requirements


Production & Supply Readiness

  • Oversee production planning activities including trials, commissioning, commercial runs, and deployment
  • Monitor material availability, supplier readiness, and inventory alignment to support launch timelines
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement to mitigate supply and production risks
  • Provide post-launch recommendations on inventory management, stock balancing, and material replenishment


Business Planning & Forecast Alignment

  • Support Annual Business Planning (ABP) and cycle planning activities through volume validation and commercialization inputs
  • Review forecast assumptions and recommend adjustments based on operational capability and business requirements
  • Ensure commercialization requirements are incorporated into supply and production plans


Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Provide regular updates on project status, launch readiness, timelines, costs, and risks
  • Facilitate alignment across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership reviews


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve commercialization processes, workflows, and execution efficiency
  • Drive initiatives that improve visibility, collaboration, speed-to-market, and operational excellence
  • Standardize best practices across commercialization activities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in commercialization, supply chain, product launch, project management, or operations
  • Strong understanding of product launch processes, procurement, manufacturing, and supply planning
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, food, beverage, pharma, or consumer goods industries preferred
