Job Summary
Avid Technology is looking forPeople Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, HRIS transactions in Workday, and offboarding, while serving as the first point of contact for HR inquiries and partnering with Payroll, HRBPs, and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.
This role is a Remote position based in the Philippines, with a work schedule of 09:00 PM to 06:00 AM with occasional onsite reporting at our BGC office (approximately once a month to once every two months) for filing, records, and audit purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact to HR inquiries via ServiceNow, providing accurate, timely, and empathetic support
Assign and/or escalate HR inquiries as necessary and as quickly as possible
Execute employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, terminations, job and compensation changes, and manager transfers
Maintain accurate employee data and ensure compliance with internal controls and local employment regulations
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including systems setup, benefits orientation, stakeholder communications, and Workday updates
Partner with HR Business Partners on policy guidance, performance concerns, and employee relations matters
Collaborate with Payroll on salary audits, final pay instructions, and unemployment claim processing
Prepare and submit compliance reports as needed
Assist in tracking completion of compliance training
Identify trends in employee inquiries and contribute to the improvement of HR processes and knowledge base content
Identify process improvements and communicate across stakeholders to form recommendations
Support wellness, engagement, or other HR initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
2+ years of HR operations experience, preferably in a regional or global support role
Aside from the minimum qualifications stated above, the ideal candidate shall also possess the following technical, behavioral and analytical skills/capabilities:
Working knowledge of global employment practices and HR operations
Proficiency in HR systems and tools such as Workday and ServiceNow
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-first mindset
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams
Critical thinking skills and sound judgment in handling unique or complex employee scenarios
Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to balance responsiveness with compliance requirements
