Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Insurance Finance Controller to oversee the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and financial controls. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, managing audit and compliance requirements, and supporting business decisions through financial analysis and operational insights. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience and a solid background in insurance finance, preferably within the non-life insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations, including general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Oversee tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and statutory requirements
  • Supervise billing processes, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management
  • Handle reinsurance accounting and ensure accurate recording of related transactions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and financial policies
  • Lead internal and external audit activities and ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Conduct financial analysis and operational cost reviews to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Partner with business leaders and department heads to support strategic financial initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and insurance industry regulations
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within finance operations


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and audit
  • Background in the insurance industry, particularly non-life insurance, is a strong advantage
  • Experience in reinsurance accounting and regulatory reporting is highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Capable of managing a hybrid work arrangement effectively
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
