Job Summary

The Deputy Controller will support the overall finance leadership in managing the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control functions. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering timely financial insights to support business operations and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience within a highly regulated industry environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives across the organization
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Supervise bank reconciliation activities, billing processes, and general ledger maintenance
  • Manage and review reinsurance accounting transactions and related financial documentation
  • Strengthen and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and financial data
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and address audit findings accordingly
  • Analyze financial performance and operational costs to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with various departments in implementing financial policies, controls, and process enhancements
  • Support management in developing strategies to improve financial efficiency and operational effectiveness


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance management
  • Strong understanding of audit processes, internal controls, and risk assessment
  • Experience within the insurance industry, particularly non-life insurance, is an advantage
  • Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
