The Opportunity

This hands-on ABAP role focuses on building scalable enhancements, integrations, and services that support modern Fiori applications and core business operations. You’ll work closely with functional, Fiori, and integration teams across full-cycle SAP delivery.

• Develop, maintain, and optimise ABAP applications using ABAP Cloud, CDS Views, RAP (Restful Application Programming Model), and S/4HANA Public Cloud extensibility.
• Build and extend business objects using RAP (behavior definitions, services, entities).
• Develop integrations with S/4HANA using OData services, APIs, events, and BTP services.
• Ensure clean core compliance—using in-app and side-by-side extensibility as required.
• Analyse and debug performance issues using SAP tools (ADT, performance traces, SQL monitor, etc.).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
• Support unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and adherence to coding standards.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with Fiori/CAP developers to support full-stack solutions.
• Maintain strong awareness of SAPs cloud extensibility roadmap, RAP updates, and S/4HANA Public Cloud constraints.
  
  
  

• 3–5 years ABAP development experience (cloud or on-premise).
• At least 1–2 years experience with ABAP Cloud / RAP / S/4HANA Public Cloud highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in ABAP Cloud, ABAP OO, CDS Views, and RAP.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including whitelisted APIs and communication scenarios.
• Good understanding of Fiori/UI5 integration, OData services, and backend logic design.
• Proficiency with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
• Experience with SAP BTP ABAP Environment, side-by-side extensions, and REST/OData service development.
• Solid debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
