Technical SEO Engineer

Job Summary

The Technical SEO Engineer is responsible for improving the technical aspects of our digital properties to maximize search engine visibility and performance. This role involves auditing, optimizing, and implementing technical SEO best practices across our websites and platforms to drive organic traffic and conversion growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Audits & Strategy: Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, identify critical issues (e.g., crawl errors, indexation problems, site speed), and develop actionable strategies for remediation.

Implementation & Optimization: Work directly with engineering and development teams to implement technical SEO improvements, including schema markup, structured data, canonical tags, hreflang, and XML sitemaps.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and third-party SEO platforms to track progress and identify new opportunities.

Site Health: Ensure optimal site performance, including site speed (Core Web Vitals), mobile responsiveness, and overall site architecture for efficient crawling and indexing.

Process & Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for technical SEO guidelines, best practices, and standard operating procedures for development and content teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in Technical SEO.

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and their impact on SEO.

Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO best practices.

Experience with server-side configurations, logging analysis, and CDNs.

Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and SEO platforms (e.g., Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
