Role description & Role accountabilities:
- Provide techno-managerial leadership support to the Advisory (Business and Sustainability) team in the Global Excellence Centres (GECs)
- Support multiteam project delivery from the GEC including Investment Advisory (IA), Asset Strategy & Transformation Change, Sustainability, Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) Capital Programme Transformation (CPT)
- Support the GEC Discipline Director to achieve Discipline targets, team growth, and objectives.
- Establishing and consolidating relationships with senior staff in Business Area offices, taking ownership of the delivery and GEC’s technical capabilities.
- Support on bid proposals and new pursuits
- Drive creativity and independent thinking within your team, including around new digital technologies.
- Mentor team leads and team champion(s) to ensure high-quality standards and continuous improvement in safe design practices.
- Take a leadership role within the team, providing direction and lead by example.
- Manage the delivery of tasks in accordance with Arcadis Management Systems to meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.
- Working to ensure that best practices of delivery are adopted, and it is shared with relevant teams.
- Promote both the regional and global culture of the business.
- Early assessment of project and team risks and arriving with appropriate Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) in Finance, Strategy, Sustainability or Supply Chain
- Have 10+ years of client experience in top tier management including leadership in management consulting.
- Experience working in GCC model preferred
- Strong understanding of Environment, and Sustainability business
- Experience in managing staff/stakeholders across a wide range of disciplines.
- Interact with clients, understanding their needs, and conversing with regulators
- Confident in building strong and lasting relationships at a regional and global level
- A strong, self-motivated, and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexible to adopt changes and challenges as per business requirements.
- Proficient in global digital and technology trends related to the environmental sector
Directing: You are a senior leader in the business, you bring your wealth of experience and leadership acumen to define the vision, strategy, culture, and growth across the Arcadis GECs. You would typically take responsibility of teams over 40 colleagues. You must be highly respected in the regions and be actively defining the growth of the business.

- You have in-depth understanding of the business benefits derived from Global Design and Arcadis’ key financial metrics and champion the involvement of the GECs as an integral part of Arcadis’ Global resources ensuring that local colleagues understand the benefits of being part of the team.
- You take ultimate responsibility for finances and quality delivery for multiple disciplines and regions, creating a culture of ownership and accountability.

- You work with your team leaders to create actions plans to drive the strategy, and monitor implementation.
- You take decisions on organizational structure within your area, ensuring the right individuals are placed at relevant levels.
- You carry out SWOT analysis of the business discipline on a regular basis while engaging team members at the right levels.
- You are responsible for recruitment targets, salary decisions and GEC headcount and capital budgets.
- You manage discipline budget and provide guidance to the team in taking financial decisions while being fully accountable for the spend
