Team lead and team member Data Management team

About the Role

BW LNG is seeking PMS, Service and material team lead (data architect) and team member (data reliability engineer) for our Data Management team located in Manila. The team based in Manila supports the fleet with the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager based in Oslo, Norway.

Key Responsibilities:

Team lead:

In this role, you will coordinate and guide the MMS Data Management team, to secure effective progress and delivery.

• lead team, ensuring the prioritization of activities, tracking progress and quality control
• reports to maintenance manager, Oslo, Norway
• primary contact for the maintenance manager

Both roles:

Technical support:

• provide daily technical support to assigned MMS-equipped vessels and personnel, ensuring that target MMS support efficiency is attained
• execute, monitor and report progress of any assigned projects
• attend to all received issues, resolve or escalate cases when needed, and communicate closely with stakeholders
• maintain MMS master data library in accordance with fleet maintenance philosophy, perform updates and corrections as deemed necessary

Inventory Standardization and Quality Control:

• Support inventory data quality across the fleet by maintaining standardized material structures, descriptions, units, and criticality classifications within MMS.
• Perform quality control of inventory-related data, including duplicate detection, completeness checks, and alignment with maintenance and procurement standards.
• Contribute to development and continuous improvement of inventory standards, material catalogues and data governance principles in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

Monitoring and continuous improvement:

• monitor monthly Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) report, and perform updates, upgrades or corrections to all existing vessels as necessary to achieve acceptable TMSA report values
• improving process management by maximizing the use of system and database functionalities
• develop customized reports, forms and templates or conduct data analysis as required
• perform testing and quality assurance in relation to system upgrade, patches or revisions of the MMS-process
• Analyze maintenance-related data to identify trends, deviations and improvement opportunities, and initiate corrective or improvement actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

Implementation-phase:

• implement database for new vessels following MMS standard procedures
• perform quality assurance upon completion of the implementation
• coordinate and conduct MMS user-training onboard vessels
• Contribute to continuous development, standardization and improvement of MMS implementation and training processes across the fleet

Qualifications:

Both roles:

• experience with MMS (maintenance management System) applications and Excel knowledgeable in vessel technical data, preferably experienced Marine Engineer
• preferably knowledge of TMSA
• fluency in English, written and spoken
• work permit in the Philippines

In addition, for team lead:

• experience managing and motivating a team is an advantage

Location:

• The position will be based in Manila, the Philippines.
• During implementation phase, extensive travelling to Oslo, Norway. Thereafter some travelling will be required.
