About The Role

Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 600 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a BIM Manager, ideally with extensive years of technical experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) with ability in implementing BIM and CAD protocols.

Responsibilities

• Works mainly without supervision; refers upwards as necessary
• Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others’ work
• Responsible for monitoring hours spent to assist meeting financial targets for the business
• Responsible for setting and meeting agreed deadlines
• Allocates tasks and coordinates activities
• Represents the company internally
• May in addition be responsible for one or more of the following:
• Drives development of BIM within the business
• Responsible for predicting and planning future resources and contributing to setting up BIM aspects of new projects
• Responsible for the design/ delivery of internal BIM events, activities, processes, and /or projects which have a major impact on the management of the business
• Responsible for the performance and development of others, providing guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback
  

• Member of an appropriate professional body
• Minimum of 8 years technical experience specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Ability in implementing BIM and CAD protocols and standards
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail

• Bachelor’s / College degree holder of any related course
