Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 600 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Structural Revit / CAD Designer, ideally three (3) years technical experience specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Experience in creating high quality drawings and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD and Revit software based on BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to engineering staff via the production/modification of drawings
• Works under minimal supervision. Has defined areas of responsibility
• Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others’ work
• Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines
• Opening and checking drawings received from Manila for accuracy
• Making modifications where required, prior to printing off onto A3 paper
• Liaison with other members of the design team for drawing modifications
• When necessary preparing drawings from scratch
• Document control and filing
• Taking responsibility for discrete areas of systems co-ordination as delegated by senior engineering staff
  
  

• At least 3 years technical experience specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Experience in creating high quality drawings and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD and Revit software based on BIM standards
• Knowledge of CAD (either via degree, relevant course or prior practical experience) including layering, x-refs, paper space and model space conventions
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
  
  

• Bachelor’s/College degree holder of any related course or relevant short course/certificate
