About The Role

Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 600 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer, ideally with at least three (3) years of working experience in design and analysis of building structures from concept through to construction in various sectors particularly the technology/data centre industry and to work as part of a team on technically challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists Senior and Principal Engineers in the structural design for new build and refurbishment of buildings projects
• Works under minimal supervision. Has defined areas of responsibility
• Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work and others’
• Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines
• Follows Company standards to ensure that all designs are compliant
  
  

• Minimum of 3 years technical experience specialising in the design and analysis of building structures
• Experience of working in an engineering team, preferably within the technology/data centre industry
• Knowledgeable in using software such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla and Robot Structural Analysis
• Knowledge of Eurocodes
• Good communication, presentation and mathematical skills
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or have sufficient equivalent experience
