SRE IT Consultant

Description

We are looking for self-driven Junior IT consultant to join our team in the Philippines. Whether youre a fresh graduate or have a few years of experience, if youre passionate about automation, problem-solving, and improving service reliability, we want to hear from you.

In this role, youll help ensure service reliability, streamline operational tasks through automation, and collaborate with global teams to drive continuous improvement across the service. Requirements

• Fresh graduates in technical field preferably but not limited to Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering or similar are welcome to apply!
• Have a consulting mindset and strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-directing with the ability to communicate findings, and make recommendations.
• A strong desire for continuous improvement and automation; actively seeks out opportunities to reduce toil and manual effort.
• Basic knowledgeable on Supply Chain Processes
• Able to communicate/engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Self-motivated, ambitious, and adept at multitasking
• At least basic experience in one of the following: PowerShell, SQL
• Open mind and eagerness to learn and upskill technical capabilities on different technologies
• A knack for problem solving and creative thinking
• Willing to work or be on-call on weekends and holidays
• Willing to adjust shift schedule whenever needed

Responsibilities

• Ensure that applications are reliable and available to meet service level agreements
• Develop monitoring and automation features that ensures the service meets the reliability and quality targets
• Identify, design, and automate manual operations tasks to reduce toil.
• Provides operation status to our customers.
• Monitor processes and investigates incidents, identify root causes, and implements corrective or permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Creates and escalates tickets to other teams as needed.
• Supports releases/deployments ensuring reliability/readiness of changes to production.
• Improve product/service reliability through utilization of data analytics to identify improvement areas and ensures that appropriate design and safeguards are in place prior production release
• Leverage software engineering experience, CI/CD pipeline, scripting to proactively manage the application and automate tasks
• Align, collaborate, and build relationships with peers, subject matter experts and users to improve knowledge of E2E ,SRE Reliability Engineering practices

Nice to have

• Additional technology knowledge and work experience would be a strong advantage: Elastic Stack, InfiteData solutions ( AutomateNow), SAP ECC, APO IBP, HANA, Rulex, Knime, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, RPA
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Problem, Incident, Change Management).
• At least some experience with code repositories in GIT technology i.e. GitHub, Azure DevOps
• Experience configuring and managing Virtual Machines (e.g. Azure VMs)
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL database setup, configuration, and basic administration
