Meet The Team

Join a high-impact Finance team that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking. Reporting to the FP&A Manager and partnering closely with Corporate Functions FP&A Leads in San Diego, this role plays a key part in supporting the financial health of our General & Administrative and R&D functions. If you enjoy turning data into insights, building strong business partnerships, and driving operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment—this is the place for you.

The role will also be responsible for supporting the financial forecasting and planning cycles and delivering analytics and productivity tools to help drive increasing operating efficiencies across the functions. In addition, it will have the responsibility of delivering monthly management reports and providing detailed explanations of variances between actuals, budget and forecasts.

Where You Come In

• You will assist in the quarterly and annual financial forecasting & budgeting processes for Core R&D and other Corporate Functions.
• You will prepare monthly reporting packages that include service level details, key performance indicators, key business trends, variance analyses with clear, actionable insights.
• You will support the monthly accounting close and research of expenses for assigned departments by working cross functionally with general and cost accounting teams.
• You will provide analysis and tracking of headcount and indirect expenses such as supplies, equipment, software, clinical trial expense and consulting.
• You will assist the Finance Manager with capital asset and depreciation forecast.
• You will build strong, collaborative relationships across US finance team and the G&A team to deliver strategic value from the Finance function.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that departments understand and complies standard financial processes and controls.
• Perform ad-hoc financial modeling, reporting and analyses as part of finance team for large projects and independently for smaller value projects.
  
  

• Proficient in all Microsoft applications especially in Excel and Power Points (pivot tables, vlookup, filters)
• Understanding of general accounting principles & essential financial reporting for P&L and balance sheet (accruals, prepaids, capital expenditures).
• Strong technical ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and comfortable working with US based employees at differing levels.
• Strong work ethic with a collaborative attitude and confident written and verbal communicator.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate and reliable work.
• Working knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion systems, industry experience in medical device are an advantage.
