Position Summary

The Marketing Technology Specialist is a key member of the global Marketing Technology team, dedicated to advancing the Firm’s marketing and business development (M&BD) initiatives by seamlessly integrating people, processes, data, and technology. This role requires demonstrated expertise in managing complex email campaigns and marketing automation workflows with platforms such as Cvent and Marketo. As a collaborative leader, the Marketing Technology Specialist will optimize and unify marketing technology tools and processes, delivering scalable solutions that elevate the effectiveness of the M&BD function.

Responsibilities1

Act as subject matter expert for system and interfaces development, configuration, and maintenance

Support Absence and Time management processes in all appropriate locations, including:

  • Serve as a connector – bridge the global Marketing Technology team with stakeholders across teams and regions, solving challenges with a solution-oriented approach while fostering collaboration and embedding best practice.
  • Trusted advisor – provide expert guidance on processes, platforms, and products within the Marketing Technology function, with a particular focus on email and marketing automation tools such as Cvent and Marketo.
  • Operational excellence – contribute to the day-to-day operations and ongoing improvement of marketing technology processes, platforms, and workflows, including data, to support marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Drive integration and efficiency – proactively identify and implement opportunities to connect people, platforms, processes, and products, maximizing the potential of the marketing technology portfolio and improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and user adoption.
  • Campaign operations – support the execution, and optimization of complex email campaigns, ensuring best practices in deliverability, segmentation, personalization, and compliance.
  • Product and process support – assist with the management of marketing technology solutions and processes as needed—helping to translate objectives into user stories and technical requirements, supporting the setting of priorities, and contributing to ongoing development and upgrades.
  • Vendor collaboration – work effectively with external vendors, providing feedback for product roadmaps, participating in beta testing, and ensuring the Firm’s needs are represented.
  • Data management – assist in centralizing and organizing marketing data sets to ensure smooth workflow, information sharing, and data integrity across all marketing technology operations.
  • Adoption and engagement – support the implementation of new operating models, through change management, up-skilling initiatives, and coaching and mentoring team members on new processes and technologies.
  • Team onboarding and advocacy – facilitate new joiner inductions, raising the profile of the Marketing Technology team and its service offerings.
  • Continuous learning – maintain the self-driven initiative to improve personal knowledge and technical skillset in marketing technology and automation.
  • Additional duties – perform any additional responsibilities necessary to support the Marketing Technology function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; a background in marketing is advantageous. Technical experience in Information Science, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline is a distinct plus.
  • Law firm/professional services experience preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Advanced experience in managing and optimizing marketing technology related platforms and processes is required. For example, campaign management, list segmentation, data management and/or automation.
  • Advanced experience in marketing virtual and hybrid events, multi-channel marketing, and email communication is necessary.
  • Advanced understanding of client relationship management (CRM) principles and processes is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral – and the ability to work at all levels is necessary.
  • Experience working in an environment focused on continuous improvement - adapts quickly to new circumstances or priorities and willing to contribute new ideas.
  • Knowledge of coding languages, such as HTML, JavaScript, HTML/CSS or SQL, is advantageous.
  • Data storytelling and visualization skills are advantageous.
  • An advanced understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA is necessary.
  • Experience in project and product management, technology rollouts and change management initiatives is advantageous.
  • Experience with managing and driving projects with the Agile Project Management methodology is advantageous.
  • Experience training and onboarding team members and users is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of UX/UI principles would be advantageous.
