Role Overview

We are seeking a Python Software Engineer to join our Technology team in Manila. The role focuses on hands‑on backend Python development, automation, and cloud‑based solutions, with opportunities to contribute to CI/CD pipelines and collaborate across teams.

You will help develop and maintain middle‑office and third‑party integration applications built primarily in Python, with supporting technologies including Oracle PL/SQL, C++, and Linux. Web frontends are mainly JavaScript‑based (AngularJS/Vue). The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and has experience across the full development lifecycle, including testing automation, enhancements, support, and troubleshooting.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Python applications, APIs, and automation tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Write clean, well‑tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues across development and deployment environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams.
• Implement improvements for performance, reliability, and automation.
• Document processes, technical designs, and system behavior.
  
  

Experience / Competences

Essential

• Solid professional Python experience.
• Experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask and building REST APIs.
• CI/CD experience and Git workflows.
• Basic cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker or containerization.
• Strong testing practice familiarity (pytest preferred).
• Ability to debug and optimize code.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
  
  

Desired

• Messaging/event‑driven experience (MQTT, Kafka, AMQP/RabbitMQ/Solace PubSub).
• AI‑assisted development tool usage (Copilot, LLM automation).
• Exposure to Kubernetes or orchestration tech.
• Database experience with SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience with Celery or async task queues.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and observability tooling.
