Software Engineer - Frontend

An M3 Content Delivery Software Engineer helps the business by creating and maintaining key tools like widgets, scripts, and workspaces within the Infor M3 system. These solutions make it easier for users to access information and complete tasks quickly and accurately. By automating routine processes and improving the user experience, the engineer supports faster workflows and reduces errors. Working closely with other teams, they turn business needs into practical content solutions that boost productivity and help the company meet its goals. This role ensures that the technology investments lead to better efficiency and customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life Typically includes:
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects of Infor M3 within the assigned functional support area.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to review functional business requirements and assess the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Work with Quality Assurance Engineers to provide insights on testing coverage and support validation efforts.
• Design, implement, and maintain software modules or subsystems, addressing both single product components and lower-level issues across multiple products.
• Develop software according to defined requirements and project plans, ensuring alignment with product goals.
• Enhance product capabilities by gathering requirements, designing, developing, and communicating key features for holistic solutions.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, peer reviews, and root cause analysis following SDLC best practices.
• Perform impact analysis for any planned code changes to anticipate and manage potential effects on the application.
• Fix reported bugs while adhering to coding standards and SDLC compliance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for assigned modules or subsystems.
• Participate in release testing and provide beta support for assigned products.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders including customers, product teams, GDIS, and solution consulting teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions to explore new ideas and validate technical approaches.
• Provide informal training and knowledge sharing on solutions and procedures delivered by the group.

What You Will Need?
Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• Work experience includes development of new program or significantly large feature enhancement, maintenance and involvement on database design/structure
• At least 3 years of programming background/experience (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 as well as common technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and GIT) - Proficiency in relevant programming languages, including proprietary languages or frameworks used in the Infor M3 ecosystem.

• Exposure to user experience (UX) principles, with the ability to incorporate usability considerations into software design and development.

• Familiarity with software design, coding, debugging, and testing within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Product Management.

• Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, impact analysis, and debugging.
• Familiarity with development tools and collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to develop proof-of-concept solutions to validate new technical approaches.
• Awareness of UX best practices to ensure software solutions meet user needs and provide intuitive workflows.
• Ability to work with UX designers or analysts to translate user feedback into technical improvements.
