Role Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, technically capable Service Control Centre (SCC) Engineer to support the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Finance systems at Parameta Solutions. As part of our newly formed SCC function, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and monitoring Workday Finance and its integrated platforms, ensuring seamless upstream and downstream processes across Finance, Procurement, Market Data Technology, IT, and Service Operations.

This role serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams—providing first‑line support, safeguarding data integrity, and ensuring critical financial processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for Finance system queries and service requests.
  • Monitor system dashboards, integration logs, and control reports to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and Workday support teams to triage incidents, manage escalations, and drive timely resolution.
  • Support Finance in month-end close activities, including intercompany reconciliations and validation of system accuracy.
  • Assist with testing and deployment of Workday Finance configuration changes, updates, and patches.
  • Ensure systems and interfaces operate efficiently during critical Finance cycles.
  • Maintain documentation including incident resolutions, SOPs, system configurations, and known issues.
  • Contribute to service reporting; track SLA adherence and identify opportunities to reduce recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Data Governance teams to validate data accuracy across financial modules and integrations (e.g., Workiva, Salesforce, Mulesoft).
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including SOX, by ensuring controls are monitored and evidenced.
  • Uphold configuration and change management processes to ensure traceability and control.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, a continuous‑improvement mindset, and a strong service‑delivery focus.

Experience & Competencies

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or related field.
  • Some experience in a Finance Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Exposure to Workday Financials or another major ERP (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Understanding of core financial processes (GL, AP, AR, FP&A, Procurement).
  • Basic familiarity with integration platforms and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven documentation skills, including SOPs, incident logs, and system notes.
  • Ability to perform effectively during month‑end close and other time‑critical cycles.
  • Experience using ITIL frameworks and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to learn independently, adopt new tools quickly, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Resilience under pressure and a proactive mindset toward identifying issues and performance bottlenecks.

Desired

  • Experience with Workday Finance specifically (e.g., integrations, configuration, tenant management).
  • Knowledge of integration tools such as Mulesoft, Workiva, OneStream, or Hubble.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance requirements and IT General Controls (ITGC).
  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of SQL or other data query tools.
  • Prior experience in a Service Control Centre, Finance Operations, or Production Support environment.
  • Exposure to service reporting, SLA tracking, and continuous‑improvement practices.
