Senior Tester

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tester to join our dynamic team working on building a cutting-edge low-code platform. The successful candidate will take the lead and coordinate quality assurance activities across our development team. This role is hands-on in manual testing and accountable for test scenario definition, while partnering with developers to ensure test scenarios are properly implemented and executed. Knowledge with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins or Bitbucket pipelines is desirable.

Your Responsibilities

• Test Strategy and Scenario Definition: Build and maintain a testing strategy in collaboration with the development team. Define clear, comprehensive test scenarios and test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria tailored to low-code platform development. Review and validate automated test scenarios implemented by the development team while assuring traceability between requirements, test scenarios, and test results.
• Quality Mindset and Continuous Improvement: Promote quality-first practices within the team, contribute to release readiness and go/no-go decisions and identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements.
• Manual Testing: Execute manual test scenarios for new features, integrations, and defect fixes. Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing prior to releases while documenting test execution results and evidence clearly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and other quality engineers to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and prioritize testing efforts. Review automated test coverage from a scenario and business logic perspective rather than a code/implementation perspective.
• Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently including monitoring of automated test results and coverage in CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, reports, and documentation for test coverage, execution results, and identified defects.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications, Training And Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in software development or a related field as well as a basic understanding of programming languages and software development concepts.
  
  

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and experience in programming, preferably with a focus on web applications and platform development.
• Or in-house within a complex multi-channel environment
• Testing Methodologies: In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug and resolve complex issues.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively and efficiently in a cross-functional environment. Strong leadership skills with a quality mindset.
• Attention to detail: Ability to identify edge cases and maintain high-quality standards in testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured is a plus.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript), good knowledge of Jenkins and Bitbucket for configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and experience with testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Vitest or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing low-code/no-code platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of test case management tools like Tricentis, Xray or similar is a plus.
• ISTQB Certification or similar QA certifications is a plus.
  
  

Work Arrangement:Homebased

Work Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7am- 4pm PHT

Must Have atleast 20mbps internet connection
