Job Description

SATO is seeking a committed Senior Sales Executive to lead and manage the sales and operations for the SATO business in the Philippines. The Philippines is a critical market for SATO, where a huge number of the population still lack access to basic sanitation and hygiene (WHO, JMP report) Created in 2012 to tackle the global sanitation challenge, SATO, a brand of LIXIL, is an award-winning social business that offers an affordable and aspirational line of sanitation and hygiene solutions for communities without access to sewers or basic sanitation. Through our sales organizations, local trades, and partnerships with community groups and global organizations, we offer a safer and more pleasant toilet and hygiene experience. We have impacted more than 100 million lives since inception and have produced and shipped over 9.4 million units across 46 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

The Senior Sales Executive, Philippines, is a key driver of SATO’s mission to provide affordable sanitation and hygiene solutions. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets through a blend of managing existing accounts and aggressively developing new business opportunities. You will be at the forefront of our growth phase, increasing brand awareness and improving hygiene standards across the Philippines.

Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets through the execution of strategic sales plans and the delivery of product training, etc. Working closely with both the Leader, Philippines, and global functional teams, you will ensure operational efficiency and provide regular performance insights. We are looking for a high-energy professional who is accountable for driving volume, profitability, and social impact in this critical market.

Responsibilities

Execute business strategies to achieve the sales goals

  • MFI Partner Optimization & Growth: Drive sales by strengthening relationships with existing MFI (Microfinance Institution) partners. Create demand through regular on-site visits, professional product presentations, and hands-on installation training.
  • New Partner Acquisition: Identify and onboard new MFI partners to aggressively expand market reach and enhance brand awareness across the Philippines.
  • Government & Global Institution Engagement: Strengthen engagement with government agencies and global institutions to identify and approach planned sanitation projects, aiming to secure large-scale contracts and tenders.
  • NGO & Project Participation: Proactively engage with NGOs and development organizations to secure SATO’s participation in social impact projects through product expertise and technical training.
  • Sales Operations: Utilize company systems (Salesforce and SAP) to generate accurate quotations, manage order processing, and maintain up-to-date sales records.
  • Target Achievement: Take full accountability for meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales volume and profitability targets. Collaborative Effectively to Execute Strategy
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely product delivery and stock availability.
  • Manage procurement processes and oversee sales collections (Accounts Receivable) to ensure business health.
  • Coordinate with global and regional functional teams to optimize business efficiency and profitability. Generate Progress Reports and Filings
  • Submit a weekly report on sales progress, activity results, and next weeks activity schedule.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to align local activities with global SATO goals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a results-driven problem solver with a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to achieving sales targets. You have over 5 years of experience in a sales organization (handling either tangible or intangible products) and possess the ability to work independently in a "startup-like" environment.

As a representative of the SATO Philippines business, you can clearly and confidently communicate with a diverse range of external stakeholders, including business partners (e.g., retailers, NGO/MFIs, manufacturers), the public sector, and consumers. The ability to execute plans autonomously is key to success in this role. Will report to the Leader, Philippines, and will closely liaise with the Global Functional Team.
