Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world. TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as UK, US, and Middle East Mechanical Design Codes.
• Prepare drawing markups and other design related documents.
• Oversee the projects detailed design and calculation.
• Supervise the design and drawing markup processes.
• Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the projects requirements.
• Deliver technically complete design documentation, summary reports and technical reports for Design Managers.
• Record man-hour charges accurately into weekly timesheets and ensure correctness of project and non-project man-hour charges.
• To be fully utilized. Always seek new work/tasks from Principal Engineer/Function Leader.
• Resource and develop skills and knowledge base of Design, Assistant and Graduate Engineers assigned to projects.
• Liaise with BIM Manager and BIM Coordinators assigned to projects.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME).
• 8 to 10 years minimum relevant post-graduate experience.
• Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.
• Knowledgeable in AUTOCAD, REVIT, Navisworks and BIM environment.
