Senior Manager - Data Models And User-Developed Applications

Join our Data Governance team within the Risk Management Group in building safe, responsible and effective use of data, models and user-developed applications (UDA) across its global operations, to meet its obligations under the enterprise policies and standards. We partner with business, data, and technology teams to strengthen data governance, manage risk and embed a strong data culture.

What role will you play?

Reporting directly to the Risk Management Groups Data Officer, you will lead the execution of the group’s baseline data, models and UDAs governance strategy, and actively contribute to the design and continuous improvement of frameworks and operating models that guide responsible use of data, models, and UDAs across the Risk Management Group. You will oversee the design, enhancement and implementation of governance practices and controls, drive adoption of governance activities and partner with senior divisional stakeholders and global teams to uplift baseline data, models, and UDAs governance maturity.

In addition, you will drive compliance activities, ensuring divisions meet their policy and regulatory obligations, as well as identify data gaps, risks and controls, and provide advisory support to stakeholders by assessing data risks, recommending remediation activities, and offering best practice guidance. You will lead group-level monitoring, oversight and reporting activities to drive consistent risk management practices and ensure we meet current and emerging regulatory and policy requirements.

What You Offer

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, data or model and UDA governance, business analysis, or a consulting role
• Strong skills in designing, developing and governing baseline data, models and UDAs frameworks, standards and procedures
• Adept at working both autonomously and collaboratively, with proven ability to build effective relationships, manage expectations, and engage and influence senior stakeholders across complex environments
• Experience delivering projects, with strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platforms, in particular Collibra, is an advantage
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, quantitative disciplines or information technology, with experience in financial services an advantage.
