Senior Graphic Design Specialist Night Shift

Job Purpose

• The Graphic Design Specialist is a senior-level individual contributor who also serves as a subject matter expert in graphic design.
• This role provides strategic design guidance, ensures quality alignment across outputs, and mentors team members in collaboration with the Team Leader.
• The Specialist contributes to production work while elevating the overall creative standards and design thinking within the team.
• Operates as a visionary and thought leader. Anticipates future design trends and organisational needs. Champions innovation and continuous improvement. Coaches and inspires at all levels. Advocates for design as a strategic business driver.
• Measurable impact on brand equity and market differentiation. Adoption and compliance with enterprise design standards. Innovation metrics (new tools, processes, or methodologies implemented). Recognition in industry awards or publications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement organizational change across cross-functional teams, including experience in restructures, process improvements, and transformation initiatives.
• Strong business acumen with a collaborative mindset, able to partner closely with both internal teams and external business stakeholders to understand and deliver on strategic requirements.
• Future leadership potential with a flexible, growth-oriented approach, capable of evolving into a team lead role while maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders across functions.
  
  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a design authority and specialist, ensuring high-quality, brand-aligned visual outputs across all projects.
• Provide expert-level design execution and contribute to complex production tasks.
• Mentor and coach graphic designers, supporting their growth in design skills, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader to align design standards, methodologies, and best practices across the team.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on design work to ensure consistency, quality, and innovation.
• Serve as a go-to resource for design-related decisions, tools, and techniques.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, including in-country teams, GBAs, and Growth groups, to ensure design solutions meet business needs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and templates.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh perspectives and innovation to the team.
• Assist in onboarding new designers by sharing design standards and expectations.
• Design Quality Score: Average rating from internal reviews and stakeholder feedback
• Design Consistency: Percentage of outputs aligned with brand and design standards
• Production Efficiency: Timeliness of deliverables against agreed timelines
• Innovation Contribution: Number of new design ideas, tools, or process improvements proposed and implemented.
• Makes final decisions on enterprise design direction, brand evolution, and adoption of new design technologies; sets long‑term visual communication strategy.
  
  

Knowledge & Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience leading a team of at least 10 members
• More than 10 years experience in the relevant field of graphics/multimedia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Design, Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media or an equivalent experience in the field
• Proven graphic & multimedia design experience
• Advance knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Fundamental apps
• Adobe Photoshop: Advance
• Adobe Illustrator: Advance
• Adobe InDesign: Advance
• With experience in creating and editing videos
• Adobe Premier Pro: Intermediate to Advance
• Adobe After Effects: Intermediate to Advance
• Adobe Audition and Media Encoder: Fundamentals
• With insight and experience in other creative apps is a plus
• UI/UX knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Possess creative flair, versatility, conceptual ability.
• Demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio across print and digital assets.
• Up to date and skilled with fundamental Graphic/Multimedia design industry leading software and technologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, ideally in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Comprehensive knowledge of performance metrics

• Strong communication skills to articulate design rationale and collaborate with non-design stakeholders.

• Organizational and time-management skills, especially in managing multiple design projects.
