Senior Engineer Front-end

Our Front-end engineering team ensures Code and Theory delivers innovative, immersive web experiences that delight our clients and their customers. We are always striving to balance the demanding nature of working on cutting-edge technologies with the real-world demands of high performance, high security, and accessibility. Working in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary engineering, design, and quality assurance teams, you will build software that solves real-world problems for incredible clients. React is our most frequently implemented frontend framework and we have built up substantial skill in implementing React and its ecosystem of technologies.

Our Front-end Engineers partner with our cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative technologies that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Take ownership of complex tasks and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions independently
• Collaborate across the stack to align on architectural decisions and project goals
• Make and defend front-end architectural decisions, balancing performance, maintainability, accessibility, and delivery speed
• Contribute to and help evolve shared component libraries and design systems in close collaboration with design and product partners
• Contribute to technical discussions, architectural reviews, and problem-solving sessions
• Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to align on project goals and deliverables
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering growth and sharing best practices within your area of expertise
• Focus on building performant, accessible, and intuitive interfaces
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks to drive innovation and improve the development process

WHAT YOULL NEED

• 7+ years experience in frontend web development
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS and TypeScript
• Proficiency with modern Frontend frameworks such as React and NextJS
• Experience building responsive websites and applications
• Experience with CSS preprocessor (e.g. Sass, Less) and CSS frameworks like Tailwind
• Some experience integrating with CMS’s and API’s (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Contentful, Sanity, RESTful API, GraphQL etc.)
• Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strong understanding of developer tooling and workflow (Git, SCM, CI/CD)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior engineers
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on delivering results iteratively and efficiently

NICE TO HAVE

• Proven ability to implement pixel-perfect designs, ensuring performance optimization and accessibility (a11y)
• Familiarity with component libraries such as Shadcn, Radix UI, or similar headless/UI systems
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and emerging LLM-related optimization considerations
• Experience contributing to or maintaining shared component libraries, design systems, or internal front-end tooling
