Overview

The Senior Commerce Specialist (E-Commerce Media Planning) will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of e-commerce media campaigns across platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. This role requires a blend of strong media planning expertise, client management skills, and a deep understanding of e-commerce ecosystems. The specialist will work closely with brand teams, finance, the Ad Ops team, and the affiliate team to deliver efficient, data-driven campaigns that maximize GMV and ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Media Planning & Strategy
  • Develop full-funnel e-commerce media strategies aligned with client business goals, category priorities, and platform best practices.
  • Translate briefs into actionable media plans covering Always-On, Payday, and Mega Day campaigns.
  • Recommend optimal media mix, budget allocations, and platform-specific tactics (e.g., GMV Max, Sponsored Discovery, Live Ads).
  • Campaign Management & Ad Ops Oversight
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign setup and execution in collaboration with the Ad Ops team, ensuring accuracy of targeting, ad types, creatives, and budgets.
  • Provide direction and guidance to Ad Ops for smooth implementation and troubleshooting of delivery, pacing, and optimization issues.
  • Drive campaign performance with continuous optimization across CR, GMV, and ROAS.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for brand leads, providing proactive recommendations and insights.
  • Prepare and deliver performance reports, campaign post-mortems, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand, Finance, Ad Ops, and Affiliates to ensure smooth execution.
  • Performance Analysis & Insights
  • Monitor key KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Leverage dashboards, trackers, and platform data to generate actionable insights.
  • Recommend new test-and-learn initiatives to continuously improve performance.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in digital or e-commerce media planning, preferably within a brand, agency, platform, or enabler environment.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce ad products on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop (GMV Max, Sponsored Ads, Live Selling).
  • Experience managing ad campaign executions.
  • Analytical mindset with experience handling large datasets and extracting insights.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
