Role description:

This role supports BIM Team Leads and project teams in the successful delivery of Civil3D and CAD projects by ensuring high-quality drawing production and adherence to project timelines. The position is responsible for managing and coordinating the full drawing lifecycle, including drawing setup, production, and submission, while ensuring compliance with Arcadis standards and project requirements. Acting as a technical lead within the production team, the role provides guidance to BIM Technicians, supports engineers on drafting and modeling issues, and promotes the consistent implementation of BIM best practices. In addition, the role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, leverage emerging technologies, and improve CAD/Civil3D processes and data integration.

Role Accountabilities

• Coordinate with BIM Team Leads, provide project status updates, and escalate production issues, design clashes, or workflow concerns.
• Ensure all drawings, models, and documentation comply with Arcadis standards and project requirements.
• Support drawing setup activities, including sheet creation, model layouts, X-references, title blocks, and drawing verification.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models and maintain accurate, up-to-date drawing and design data throughout project delivery.
• Review and monitor drawing production quality, ensuring adherence to standards and design intent.
• Conduct quality checks of Civil3D models, drawings, DWGs, and PDFs prior to submission.
• Prepare and manage drawing deliverables for submission, including PDF, DWG, and eCAD files when required.
• Mentor junior BIM Technicians, delegate work, and oversee their technical development and performance.
• Manage and direct the work of Production Technical Assistants while supporting team productivity.
• Comply with Arcadis systems, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements while carrying out additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil3D; Dynamo experience is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a design consulting environment is required, with overseas or outsourced project experience considered an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrates a structured, methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to quickly adapt to drawing standards and project requirements.
