The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic. The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.

Job Description

• Lead and Acquisition Efforts: Proactively identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities to support Shopee’s growth objectives, with ownership of assigned pipelines and targets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Seller Operations, Relationship Managers, and Key Account Managers to ensure a seamless and efficient seller onboarding and post-acquisition handover.
• Seller Onboarding Support: Guide and support sellers throughout the onboarding process, ensuring documentation, compliance, and platform requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Adapt to Change: Embrace an agile working environment with a readiness to adapt to new priorities, processes, and market conditions.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Deliver regular updates on acquisition performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing processes.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 4–6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related commercial role, preferably within the e-commerce, marketplace, or tech industry.
• Demonstrated success in client acquisition, deal execution, and relationship management.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
• Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
• Experience with seller or partner onboarding processes is a strong advantage.
