The Opportunity

Take ownership of designing and building cloud-native services using SAP’s Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), delivering high-impact extensions integrated with S/4HANA and other enterprise systems. This is a hands-on backend engineering role where you’ll shape service architecture, implement secure APIs, and contribute to modern SAP cloud transformation initiatives.

• Develop and maintain SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and freestyle UI5 following SAP UX best practices.
• Build responsive, reusable UI components ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Configure and manage SAP Fiori Launchpad (spaces, pages, catalogs, roles).
• Integrate frontend applications with CAP/S/4HANA OData services and troubleshoot OData v2/v4 issues.
• Implement security and role-based access aligned with SAP Identity and authorization concepts.
• Design and develop backend services using SAP CAP (Node.js/TypeScript), including CDS data modeling and service logic.
• Expose and manage OData/REST APIs, integrating with SAP HANA Cloud, S/4HANA Public Cloud, and other BTP services.
• Configure authentication, authorization, and multi-tenancy within SAP BTP environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and application deployment to SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry).
• Perform testing (UI5/CAP frameworks), debugging, performance tuning, documentation, and continuous UX improvements.
  
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in SAPUI5, JavaScript/TypeScript, Fiori elements, and SAP UX patterns.
• Experience consuming and developing OData services, including debugging gateway/service issues.
• Solid understanding of responsive UI design, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend concepts.
• Proven experience in developing backend services using SAP CAP (Node.js/TypeScript).
• Experience with SAP BTP deployment, including HTML5 repo, destination services, and connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of Git, UI5 Tooling, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including reading whitelisted APIs and configuring communication scenarios is a big plus.
