Höegh Autoliners is a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. We are working towards a goal of zero emissions by 2040 and have an exciting roadmap to achieve this.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain innovative Salesforce solutions that empower our business processes and customer experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations, ensuring alignment with business needs and Salesforce platform best practices.

As a key member of our Salesforce team, you will be instrumental in driving the continuous improvement of our Salesforce applications and services.

This is a 1 year contractual position

Core Responsibilities

Salesforce Development and Customization

• Configure, customize, and build new or enhanced functionality on the Salesforce platform using declarative (point-and-click) and programmatic (code) solutions.
• Develop and maintain Custom Objects, Workflows, Validations, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), and API integrations.
• Implement solutions following Salesforce platform standards, security guidelines, and coding best practices.

Agile Delivery and Team Collaboration

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Lead and contribute to design reviews, code walkthroughs, demos, and user acceptance sessions.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Admins, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other Developers to ensure complete and aligned delivery of user stories and technical tasks.
• Follow and promote adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies, user story documentation, and team-defined architecture standards.

Testing, Deployment, and Support

• Conduct thorough unit testing and participate in system integration testing.
• Support deployment activities across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and defect resolution for incidents and bugs related to Salesforce features.
• Assist in Salesforce platform maintenance activities, including performance monitoring, upgrades, and system health checks.

Integration and Data Management

• Develop and manage Salesforce API integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP services.
• Manage complex data migrations, imports, and updates using DataLoader and advanced SOQL queries.
• Ensure accurate and optimized data modeling, security settings, and access controls across Salesforce objects and records.

Platform Optimization and Innovation

• Drive continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to current Salesforce functionality and recommending innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
• Promote platform scalability, user experience enhancements, and security optimization.
• Monitor Salesforce release notes and industry trends to identify opportunities to leverage new platform features.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience (declarative and programmatic).
• Hands-on experience with Lightning App Builder, Aura Components, and strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Solid experience with Salesforce Administration tasks and platform maintenance.
• Expertise in API development, external system integrations, and data migration processes.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and front-end customization in Salesforce environments.
• Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, Case Management, and standard Sales/Service Cloud features.
• Exposure to Scrum/Agile product development methodologies.
• Experience in web services development (REST API, SOAP).
• Proficient in writing efficient and advanced SOQL queries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Salesforce certifications, such as:
• Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification
• Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or II Certification
• Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices for Salesforce deployments (e.g., Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX, GitHub in Salesforce).
• Understanding of Salesforce Shield and platform encryption best practices.
