Position Overview
The Sales Operations Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing the Lead Generation and Lead Verification teams to support business development and revenue growth initiatives. This role oversees the end-to-end lead management process, including prospect identification, lead qualification, data validation, CRM management, performance monitoring, coaching, and continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, results-driven, and experienced in managing sales support teams while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sales-ready leads.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Team Leadership and Management
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives supporting US-based customers and business accounts.
Set clear performance expectations and communicate sales goals, targets, policies, and client requirements.
Conduct team huddles, one-on-one coaching sessions, performance reviews, and regular feedback discussions.
Promote accountability, engagement, teamwork, and a performance-focused culture.
Manage attendance, schedule adherence, productivity, and overall team discipline in accordance with company policies.
Sales Performance and Revenue Growth
Drive achievement of sales, revenue, conversion, average handle time, customer retention, and other account-specific targets.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance using key performance indicators and operational reports.
Develop and execute lead generation strategies to support sales objectives.
Oversee prospect research across various platforms, databases, and digital channels.
Ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team.
Monitor lead generation campaigns and optimize conversion performance.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Recruitment teams to identify target audiences.
Lead Verification & Quality Assurance
Manage lead verification processes to maintain database accuracy.
Validate prospect information, including contact details, company profiles, and decision-maker data.
Ensure compliance with data quality standards and internal procedures.
Implement quality control measures to improve lead accuracy and reduce invalid records.
Conduct audits and reviews of generated and verified leads.
CRM, Reporting and Stakeholder Collaboration
Maintain accurate records within CRM and lead management systems.
Monitor lead funnel performance and conversion metrics.
Generate and analyze reports on lead generation activities, verification outcomes, team productivity, and campaign effectiveness.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
Prepare and present sales performance reports, forecasts, action plans, and business updates to management and clients.
Work closely with operations, workforce management, quality assurance, training, recruitment, and client teams.
Communicate operational updates, business changes, campaign information, and process improvements to the sales team.
Maintain accurate records of team performance, coaching activities, attendance, and action plans.
Participate in client meetings, business reviews, calibration sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coaching, Training, and Quality Management
Coach sales representatives on product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, discovery questions, and closing strategies.
Review calls, emails, chats, and other customer interactions to provide actionable performance feedback.
Partner with training and quality teams to identify skill gaps and recommend coaching or refresher training programs.
Support new hire onboarding, nesting, certification, and transition to production.
Recognize high performance and create development plans for team members who require additional support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
At least 2-4 years of experience in sales, telesales, inside sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
At least 1-2 years of experience as a Sales Team Leader, Sales Supervisor, Team Manager, or similar leadership role in a BPO or contact center environment.
Experience supporting US market accounts, US customers, or North American sales campaigns is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and improve team performance.
Strong knowledge of sales processes, lead conversion, objection handling, upselling, cross-selling, and closing techniques.
Experience using customer relationship management systems, contact center platforms, workforce tools, and sales reporting systems.
Strong analytical, coaching, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, clients, and senior leaders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced BPO environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong customer service orientation and a professional approach to handling escalations.
Willingness to work US business hours, night shifts, weekends, holidays, or changing schedules as required by the account.
Professional working proficiency in English, including strong spoken English and neutral or clear communication for US customers.
