Risk Engineer

The Risk Engineer is responsible for supporting the Risk Finance Team in evaluating technical risk exposures across AboitizPower’s assets. The role provides engineering-based insights to support insurance placement, risk improvement initiatives, and risk quantification. The position collaborates with external risk engineers, challenges survey findings where needed, monitors Loss Control Recommendation (LCR) implementation, and contributes to building the risk quality baseline and improvement plans under RES 2.0.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• Licensed Engineer (Philippines preferred)
• Minimum of 3–5 years in industrial risk engineering, preferably in power, utilities, or heavy industry. Exposure to insurance-based surveys (e.g.,, BI review, RES) is preferred
• Familiar with various power facilities
• Experience participating in cross-functional improvement or audit initiatives is an advantage.
• Fire Safety or Risk Engineering certifications preferred (e.g., CFPS, FPE)
