Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resume Screening Specialist to join our recruitment team. This role is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and shortlisting candidate resumes against defined criteria to ensure only qualified applicants progress through the hiring funnel. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to apply standardized rubrics consistently across high-volume applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and screen resumes for ESL teacher applicants (and other roles as required) against established qualification criteria.
  • Apply standardized rubrics to assess candidate suitability, including education, certifications, teaching experience, and language proficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of screening decisions in applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Collaborate with recruiters to refine screening criteria and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on candidate quality trends to improve sourcing and screening processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations during candidate evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or any field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in recruitment, resume screening, or candidate evaluation (preferred) - welcome to new fresh grad.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to summarize candidate profiles clearly.
  • Familiarity with ESL teaching qualifications (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA) is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Set-up And Requirements

  • Schedule: May require flexible hours but with focus on mid-shift (start of shift at 12NN or 1PM)
  • Workdays: Five-day workweek with two rest days.
  • Candidates must reside in NCR, Region III, or Region IV-A and be able to meet in person in NCR at least once per month.
  • Desktop/laptop with Intel i5 (10th gen), 8GB RAM or higher
  • Minimum 25 Mbps internet speed with backup connection
  • Backup power supply for at least 8 hours
