Job Description

• This role will lead Regulatory compliance governance and directly report to the Compliance Head.
• This role will ensure that related regulatory laws, rules, and regulations guided by the SEC as well as other regulatory bodies, are monitored, cascaded, and implemented by the organization.
• This role shall also be tasked in ensuring timely and satisfactory compliance to regulatory expectations, by supporting internal stakeholders through advisory and recommendations, ensuring prompt submission of requirements, replies to issues, regulatory reports as well as monitoring of resolution and compliance of the internal controls aligned with the regulatory requirements, among others.
• Manages and lead implementer of the organization’s Compliance manual and policies
• Works closely with the Risk & Compliance Head in ensuring that the organization’s Compliance Risk Management Framework is up to date and consistent with the organization’s products and services.
• Prepares updates on Regulatory Compliance matters for the senior management and Board of Directors.
• Lead owner of the Compliance Regulatory Inventory Matrix that shall house all the applicable regulations including risk assessments and mitigating control measures.
• Will be the compliance PIC of Business cases and other items raised by the 1LoD that requires regulatory compliance review.
• Review Compliance Testing Results on relevant regulatory requirements noted.
• And any other tasks to be assigned by the Risk & Compliance Head.
  
  

• Bachelors Degree in Law, Finance, Business Management, or related field
• Extensive experience as a Compliance Officer in Banking and Financial or Lending companies
• At least 3-5 years of proven experience in a Compliance Officer role and managing a team
• Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
• Good level of English, both spoken and written
• Team spirit (being able to cooperate with colleagues, including those from other departments)
