Role description:
This role serves as a senior leader within the team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to BIM staff while managing the technical delivery of BIM production across projects or major project components. It is responsible for developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans and project delivery strategies, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvement, application enhancements, and data integration across relevant BIM software. The role ensures that projects are coordinated and delivered to meet quality, time, and budget requirements, consistently aligning with client expectations. Additionally, it oversees the implementation and management of BIM at the Business Unit level and supports the professional development and performance of multiple team members involved in large and complex projects.
Role accountabilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on BIM processes at the project level, supporting team members in delivering high‑quality outputs.
- Coach, mentor, and train BIM staff on basic and intermediate BIM concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of BIM standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
- Develop, review, and maintain BIM documentation, including standards, implementation plans, and guidelines.
- Resolve complex modelling challenges and provide expert technical support across project teams.
- Coordinate BIM processes with clients, design teams, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project requirements and global standards.
- Lead BIM review meetings, monitor clash detection activities, and oversee clash resolution throughout project stages.
- Manage BIM software platforms, including version control, customization, templates, families, and automation tools.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of BIM model outputs, verifying compliance with company standards and intended end uses.
- Identify BIM‑related trends and opportunities, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and innovation within the practice.
- Support the region in BIM Management tasks such as Autodesk construction cloud management, implementing BEP workflows and BIM Standardization works
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent course; technical certification in BIM is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on BIM projects, with strong exposure to international design or construction standards.
- At least 6 years’ experience in applying BIM to international project design or construction
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in multi‑BIM platform or multi‑project BIM management
- Proven experience leading and managing BIM teams, including mentoring and developing junior BIM Modelers
- Strong knowledge of international BIM standards, including ISO 19650, RIBA, and AIA best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders
- Advanced technical proficiency in developing BIM models and CAD outputs within budget and schedule requirements
- Experience in multi‑disciplinary project environments, with the ability to set up and coordinate BIM Protocols and Execution Plans
- Ability to contribute to project estimates, resource planning, and technical oversight for large and complex projects.
