Position Description
The position is primarily responsible for growing BPI Credit Cards’ installment business through various usage & merchant partnership programs or initiatives in major installment industries/categories to make BPI Credit Card the preferred payment card among existing and potential cardholders.
This position is responsible for growing SIP merchant volume and CCL which accounts for 11% of total credit card billings and 25% of total CCL. This position is also responsible for delivering SIP Merchant revenue which accounts for 16% of total credit card gross interest revenue
Primary Responsibilities
- Knowing and Growing the business
- Responsible for planning, executing, and implementing installment programs and campaigns to promote cardholder usage and loyalty
- Understands the needs/wants of the various customer segments, monitors competitive activity, and identifies new trends and opportunities to provide more compelling targeted loyalty and retention programs to existing customers.
- Responsible for managing, building relationships and onboarding in terms of overall merchant relationship and partnerships, volume generation and profitability. This entails building relationships with key merchant decision makers i.e. owners, general managers, chief financial officer, marketing director, to negotiate and agree on pricing, process and distribution agreements, and marketing promotions which defines the overall growth of SIP merchants.
- Ensures effectiveness of strategies and plans in driving growth and makes adjustments whenever necessary
- Responsible for defining the pricing strategy for merchant subsidy rates, and accountable for the delivery of SIP Merchant revenue.
- Achieve results
- Responsible for identifying, launching and implementing various usage installment that will drive usage from various customer segments, provide value and change in behavior.
- Plans, executes, and launches/rolls out marketing installment programs to ensure billings growth of the Credit Card business.
- Manages SIP merchant usage both online and offline performance and identify opportunity for improvements.
- People Management
- Organizes and collaborates with different teams within the bank to achieve implementation of programs and optimum performance.
- Collaborates closely with Data Science Business Analytics to develop strong MIS and Finance for financial/campaign projections and performance monitoring versus targets on a regular basis.
- Collaborates closely with other divisions/departments within the Unsecured Lending cards Group, Segments/Channels Group within the bank to plan, develop and implement the various planned marketing programs.
- Works closely with third-party payment processing partner to ensure onboarding of new merchants and relationship management of existing merchants.
- Performance Management
- Implements and manages strategic and tactical usage programs, ensure proper program tracking is in place to ensure that targets are achieved.
- Comes up with program profitability model and ensure that programs meet targets/goals.
- Manages usage installment programs, both online and offline, ensure proper program tracking is in place to ensure that targets are achieved.
- Administrative functions
- Manages resources, budget and personnel, by prioritizing initiatives and programs to deliver maximum results.
- Ensure compliance to regulations and business policies.
