Job Description

The Process and Innovation Officer leads the identification and deployment of innovation initiatives that drive employee engagement, ideation, and the implementation of improvement projects to ensure the organization achieves its business and operational strategies. Central to this role is the development of business process engagement programs and capability-building initiatives designed to enable Process Excellence.

By ensuring that robust processes are established, executed consistently, and deliver desired results, this role fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Furthermore, this position leads collaboration across all business units, countries, and plant organizations to implement localized innovation and process engagement initiatives that support the achievement of the organization’s key strategies and objectives

Functional

Innovation Engagement

  • Identify and deploy innovation engagement initiatives and activities across sites in Aboitiz Foods .
  • Provide support and collaboration to BU and Plant head in the implementation of their localized innovation engagement.
  • Monitor innovation engagement performance month on month and work with the BU or country or plants in the improvements needed.
  • Determine and manage Innovation Rewards budget and ensure execution as budgeted.
  • Benchmark and replicate effective innovation engagement initiatives across Aboitiz Foods.

Innovation Ideas and Projects

  • Ensure that ideated projects at the sites are logged in AHAgile or Innovation Logsheet or equivalent monitoring file.
  • Ensure projects with savings at the sites are verified and savings are calculated.
  • Support innovation projects as needed for it to be successful.
  • Lead in the benchmarking and replication of successful ideas inorder to maximize benefits.
  • Execute explorations or research on innovation outside the Aboitiz Foods which are essential to business and operations improvement
  • Lead in the requirements of the Board related to Innovation implementation.
  • Develop presentations for management reporting and discussions on Innovation performance
  • Monitor KPIs or Innovation Performance month on month and drive improvements to those not meeting targets.

Conduit to Great Transformation Team

  • Drives innovation experiment engagement and execution
  • Maintain link and alignment to GT Team to ensure alignment of Innovation strategies and initiatives.
  • Drive implementation of Innovation Maturity Culture Roadmap and ensure implementation of improvements to achieve objectives.
  • Lead the execution of GT initiatives for the Aboitiz Foods.

Process Engagement and Improvement towards Process Excellence

  • Develop and implement process engagement programs that will enable institutionalization of process discipline and culture and achieving process excellence.
  • Identify process opportunities for standardizations and improvements. Work with the Departments, Process Owners, CI Team and Quality Circle teams to implement standardization.
  • Conduct training and workshops that aim to drive capability and culture of process and control discipline.
  • Work on process improvement projects as assigned.

Capability Building

  • Key support to the execution of Business Process and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously work with the Innovation Task Force Lead in doing capability building workshops that will allow team members to explore opportunities to innovate and improve processes.
  • Conduct training and workshops that aim to improve the team members’ innovativeness as well as competency of Task Force Innovation Leads.

Other Tasks

  • Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
  • Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • Related experience in Business Process, Lean Six Sigma or any equivalent process, systems and continuous improvement areas
  • Preferably with Lean Six Sigma Certification or Business Process Certification
